Son of a Lebanese immigrant, Nouhad lives in Anderson with other immigrants and international students whose lives have been tragically impacted by the fear gripping Indiana’s immigrant community. After witnessing his housemates hurting and having to hide, Nouhad is determined to prove that Hoosiers are good people, by earning your support and winning the Democratic Primary on May 5.
what's at stakeHoosiers are hurting. Residents of Anderson and Madison County are being crushed by unlivable housing costs — unaffordable rents, mortgages, insurance, electricity and utilities — made worse by climbing grocery costs and limited opportunity. Expensive childcare and spending cuts, poor education, and inaccessible healthcare only make matters worse — and now, medicaid for our seniors, all but distinguished.
All it takes is just one home repair or a single car breakdown, and life in Indiana seems hopeless; the American dream unattainable. It’s like there’s no end in sight.
We simply can’t afford to go on like this. Change is needed, from the top, down — by building from the bottom, up. That’s what Nouhad’s campaign is about — earning your support and mustering the courage to rebuild, from the bottom, up.
You have the power to overcome the challenges we face. Together we share the courage to make change possible.
Let’s show America what Hoosiers are made of; let’s win the Democratic Primary Election on May 5.
